High-quality pillows
for the ideal level of support.
Pillows and neck rolls: Optimal support for your head and neck, made in Switzerland
At night, your body rests – provided your head and neck are positioned correctly. A pillow that offers too little or too much support can lead to tension in the neck and back, causing you to wake up during the night. You’ll feel the effects the next day: tiredness and a lack of energy. A good pillow, on the other hand, keeps your head and cervical spine aligned naturally.
Inside, you’ll find fresh European goose down, and in our most exclusive model, rare eiderdown from Iceland. Every filling complies with the Swiss standard Swiss Guaranty VSB, and every cover – made from cotton or mulberry silk – is down-proof. Awarded the NOMITE® label, many of our pillows are also suitable for people with allergies who are sensitive to house dust mites.
You can choose your pillow with soft, medium or adjustable support and in a wide range of sizes: from the classic 80x80 cm pillow, through 65x100 cm, to 40x60 cm or 50x70 cm. Since 1833, the name Schlossberg has been synonymous with Swiss textile craftsmanship: if you’re looking to buy a pillow that feels just right from the very first night, you’ll find quality steeped in history here. You can read more about our heritage on the About Schlossberg page.
Which pillow suits your sleeping position?
Whether you sleep on your side, back or front determines how much support your pillow should provide. The best pillow supports your sleeping position:
- Side sleepers need the most support, as the gap between the shoulder and the head is greatest when lying on your side. A 3-chamber pillow with a supportive core made of goose down, such as CASTELL PIUMA or LORD OUTLAST, is ideal.
- Back sleepers feel most comfortable with medium support, such as the classic CHEVALIER, made from 90 % goose down and 10 % feathers.
- Stomach sleepers are best off with a flat, soft pillow, such as the PRINCESSE: pure goose down encased in silky mulberry silk satin.
For extra support whilst reading or relaxing, we recommend the CHEVALIER down neck roll. And for those seeking something truly special, the handcrafted PRINCIPE, filled with Icelandic eider down, offers a true rarity and the height of luxury.

Which pillow is best for neck pain and tension?
The key is to find a level of support that suits you perfectly. 3-chamber pillows offer particular flexibility here: with the CASTELL PIUMA, the inner pillow can be removed and the filling adjusted to suit your individual needs, so you can find the height at which your neck rests comfortably. As a rule of thumb: the broader your shoulders and the firmer your mattress, the more filling your pillow needs. However, an ergonomic pillow is no substitute for an orthopaedic aid: if symptoms persist, we recommend seeking medical or physiotherapy advice.
The sleeping environment also contributes to relaxation. Anyone who tends to get too warm at night will appreciate a temperature-regulating pillow such as the LORD OUTLAST: an integrated Outlast® fabric stores body heat when you get too warm and releases it as soon as it cools down.
Filling and care: how to keep your pillow plump
Whilst down ensures lightness and a balanced sleeping environment, small feathers provide support for the pillow; in our 3-chamber pillows, the two work together. Eiderdown, on the other hand, is considered the finest filling of all. To find out how the different fillings differ and which model is right for you, take a look at our down pillows.
Shaking your pillow daily keeps it plump; wash it at least once a year according to the care label, without fabric softener. Look after your pillowcases and bed linen with particular care using Schlossberg washing powder, made from natural ingredients. Our guide to textile care brings together detailed care instructions. The perfect bed also includes a down duvet and a pillowcase from our satin bed linen range.
