MONA was created in our in-house atelier, using a painting technique that is as unique as each petal: the lines of the flowers are painted with ink and then decorated with divided areas of colour, giving the design a strikingly bold character. The nuances of muted blue, elegant red and delicate powder are particularly effective against the dark background.

Have you ever noticed the colourful variety of flowers along the wayside and in the fields when walking through nature? The bright red poppy blossoms stand out particularly well against the green of the meadows. On MONA, these poppy blossoms spread their petals benevolently, revealing their multi-layered, filigree veins and the typical, distinctive centre of the flower.
