Jacquard fabric
Characteristic of the fabric, named after Jean-Marie Jacquard (1805), are area-filling patterns with large repeats. Damask, brocade and matelassé, for example, belong to the jacquard family. The special pattern is created by the use of different yarns and a contrasting weave of warp and weft threads, which creates a very elegant, contrasting effect of pattern and background. Whether in royal houses, oriental palaces or the most luxurious hotels in the world, jacquard adds a special magic to the bedroom and feels fine and silky on your skin.
